Objectives |
General
The main objective of IBEROARSEN is to promote research and
exchange information and human resources among groups that are
involved in projects related to arsenic in Latin America, Spain
and Portugal. .
Specific
• To obtain a map showing the geographic distribution of arsenic
in waters and sediments from Latin America, Spain and Portugal
and to identify arsenic-free sources of drinking water.
• To improve analytical methods for the determination and
speciation of arsenic in water and soil/sediment samples.
• To develop low-cost technologies for arsenic removal from
water.
• To propose future trends in the design of chemical and
photochemical solar reactors used for treatment of arsenic-rich
water.
• To divulgate the results of this project in peer-reviewed
papers and project files.
